1. DONT TRY KEEP UP WITH HAIR BLOGGERS/VLOGGERS:
I have my go-to list of Youtubers and Bloggers that I love like the next girl, but from my own experience companies often send out products, so in a lot of cases bloggers are not coming out of pocket for those products. I personally do LOADS of research on reviews before going for a product because trying to keep up with “Jones” will leave your hair and pockets DRY!
2. Subscription boxes aren’t always your friend.
Many of us naturals are self proclaimed product junkies, but at some point we are past the “big chop” phase and the “transition” phase where you struggle to figure out what works for you. In fact you may have some what of a regimen in place and several holy grail products that you restock only regularly, but if you do that and have a sub box that can REALLY add up. If you spend $25 a month aside from your staple products you’ll have spent $300 in a year. Stick to your staples and you’ll really save, and if your like me and just have to try something new once in a while, try out the travel section. Many brands such as frizzfree curls, carols daughter, mixed chicks, as I am, and many more offer trials/travel sizes of there products so you can still scratch the product junkie itch without breaking the bank.
These tips have really been helping me cut back I hope they help you too !😀
